That's brilliant Chris, thanks so much! You've saved another from an very uncertain future, I wasn't sure whether to continue with it but now you've given me my enthusiasm back! Was great to meet you too. I've got a guy in mind for the painting as I've no running water at my lockup. I'll get in touch with the transporter guy in the week and you can have your garage back 😀

It's going to be one helluva tidy up! Anyway - nearly there.
Chris.

Put the n/s front door on. Look at that panel gap - absolutely shocking. A prolonged period of poking, manipulation, pushing pulling and controlled hitting failed to induce an improvement. Took door back off. Ground back the trailing edge and applied a bead of weld to the exposed edge to tie it all back together again. Some careful flatting and grinding with the flap wheel did the trick. Blow over with some primer and put the door back on. Much better. Outside to be turned round. And back in. O/s door fitted. Nice gap. Wing bottom tacked on and that's it! It didn't want to start at first. It feels like the vacuum capsule is loose on the top of the dizzy, but I can't really see with all the power steering pipework running about the place. Anyway - over to Phil. Plenty of flatting and rubbing down to prepare for paint and some mechanical work to be done. I look forward to seeing how she finishes up. Chris.

Looks great Chris! I'll make a list of bits and bobs that need to be done for the mot and get cracking, hopefully once the pin is out of my foot I'll have had the painting done. I'll be bringing it back to see you when it's mot'd!

Cheers chaps. She's here 'til Friday, so there has been minor tinkering. The oil guage now works. S/h sender in the drawer unit from when I converted Eugenie to a capillary instrument, so that went on. Topped up coolant and put the caps on the right way round. Put steering wheel on the right way up. Can't help it, really. Chris.

Cheers Chris! 😀 I better have a tidy up down at the garage ready for the return - funny how quickly an empty space fills up. Looking forward to some tinkering too. I've tried to move the Maxi at the weekend but my clutch foot was telling me no!

She's on her way back now. The recovery driver is quite happy to drive her down and park her up for you. Anyway, whilst she was outside waiting.... Bye bye, PFV. Chris.

Found a guy near me to paint the Wolseley front end and sills at the end of the month. Gives me time to put the new screen seals in and sort the brakes 😀
