I've finally gotten around to creating a album of photos showing my LC respray, which is actually going to be ending up as a total restoration, maybe called a trickle restoration. this is the link

Good stuff, Charly.
May I pinch a couple of those for the "Rust" thread - the front cross member is definitely interesting.
Chris.

Impressive! What temperature do you maintain your garage /workshop for spraying? regards David

We actually rented a spray booth for the painting, it was pretty nice. We could maintain about 68 degrees while painting and then cranked it up for curing, about 100+ degrees. We've only painted a few parts in my shop, and we just crank up the heat and warm it up and then shut it down and we get somewhere around 70 degrees.

Thanks for posting all the photos. It's looking really good. May I ask why you have left what appears to be a core plug out; aren't they easier to fit with the engine out of the car? regards David Putting the engine back together link

The reason the freeze plug is missing is there was a block heater in that position and when I painted the motor I removed it and I've got a plug somewhere but I can't seem to locate it right now. I think the heater still works if someone is interested in it. I didn't take the motor out to do all this work either. Engine bay

Looking very good! Lovely HT leads and Champion plug caps! A nice period touch.
Paintwork on both the car and engine looks very good!
We have the block heaters in Norway, too.
Keep up the good work!

Now I know where the block heater is installed, not that I need it here. We have the block heaters in Norway, too. Keep up the good work! Tommy
