It looks really good. I had a 1969 Austin 1800 that colour from Bristol in 1974 and it never looked that good no matter how muh I polished it!

How did it go? Cheers Andrew Hi Andrew sorry for the late reply, yeah everthing was good. Found drivers wheel bearing knocking(probably the only thing i didnt change as it seemed ok at the time). Thats now done, the tune up the garage was meant to have done was crap, so spent last Friday checking everything out, found twin carbs out of balance, one carb not working properly, tickover too high, hence timing being out buy about 5 degrees. All sorted running like a dream now, driving down to Gaydon in Wariclshire on Saturday, 2 hour or so drive all motorway hopefully a proper road test, fingers crossed. Paul

Happy days! Glad teething troubles relatively minor and sympathize with you suffering "why can't so called professionals do the job properly" syndrome...it never seems to go away completely. Cheers A
PS Where did you get those groovy spotlights from btw?

Saw the car at Gaydon on Sunday and it looks every bit as good in the flesh as in the pictures you have shared here. A real credit to all the effort put in. You must be very pleased with it Paul.

Finally caught up with Paul today, at the Tatton Park Show, having missed the car's debut at the LOCI National at Gaydon. We caught him poking under the bonnet of Snoopy's race car subtly improved 18/85 and had a long chat. A little later we went up to the North West Classics stand to have a look at Paul's restoration. Huge congratulations to Paul for all his hard work. Chris.

Thanks for the pics - looks really good.Someones put a lot of time into making sure panel gaps, doors etc are spot on - probably better than factory! Colour suits it and looks like a high quality paint job. Cheers Andrew
