Do you think you will have it on the road this week? Looking good and excellent photos again, regards David It has taken all afternoon, but it's back in the car and bolted down. Looking smart.

I thought it looked rather good - thanks.
I suspect that I'm at least a week away from getting her running (If it all goes to plan!).

Drive shafts back in and front brake lines reconnected. I'll put her back on her wheels tomorrow and start to get some pressure on the n/s hydrolastics. I think I'll take it up in a few gentle stages over a couple of evenings.
Last problem to solve is mounting the Lockheed servo. I'm coming round more to the idea of mounting it at 90 degrees to the bulkhead on a substantial bracket and putting the pressure bottle on the bulkhead next to the vacuum chamber. No doubt several cornflake packets face imminent death in the prototyping process......

Hmm - an evening of complete failure...
Failed to get the exhaust attached to the manifold, the clutch fully bled and the suspension to lift. I did get the front wheels back on.
We will overcome.

Exhaust now reconnected at the manifold. Finally gave in and removed the carbs for proper access, making this pretty straightforward.
Car is now riding on the suspension. About 180psi on the system at the moment and 1 1/2" to go to the correct ride height. I'll take her up the rest of the way tomorrow. A right good bouncing to follow, then a very gentle bleed to see if any air is expelled and we might be OK.
Ady and I have formulated a plan to fit the servo, so I'll get on with that tomorrow. The engine bay will look a little different by tomorrow night.

Same place as on my old Saab 900 (you have one too?). It used to freeze solid being at the front despite the radiator. Not much choice though as Keef says it's getting a bit crowded! You must be getting excited as the key will sonn be in the ignition.
Looks good, regards David

I used to run a SAAB 99 whilst the 'Crab was laid up. The washer set-up was in the front wing arch. I did find it frozen one time. Poking it revealed that the outside of the bottle had been beautifully undersealed into a hole in the arch........
The rust got a bit much for me (!) in the end and it headed off up Newcastle way to a SAAB nut.

New brake lines now made up, so the servo is now plumbed in. Started re-fitting the various cables.

All hoses and cables now refitted. Started on the electrics. The planned upgrade will have to wait as time is becoming a bit of an issue. Won't be long now.
