Grief.... Next year, at this rate, David. I really am struggling with the temperature and getting thoroughly tee'd off with it. I did get the drivers door back on the car. It took an hour and a half to get the lower hinge plate back into the door. This had the stump of a retaining screw in it, which I sorted at college last week. I re-cut all the threads at the same time. Getting the little s@d back into its slot inside the door was almost impossible. Anyway, I got there and it's hung, although not lined up. Next door to be recovered from the vaults was the front near side. Rust free. What?!?!?!? Well, it was. Huge blems in the paint though, so I've started sanding them off. No rust. No, I'm not sure if I believe it either. It can go back on the car, but this means the same procedure of bolting down the trailing edge of the wing. It didn't want to sit down properly at the bottom, so the new flange section I made had to have a couple of millimetres shaved off the bottom before it was close. Using a block of wood and a universal adjuster to line up the bottom edge of the wing to the sill led to a crack appearing in the wing bottom, so I'll have to strip that back and see what's happened. I'm not making the progress I want at the moment. Chris. I share your pain Chris, bloody cold, nothing sets, its a joy to start welding to warm up, 2 steps forward 1 step back, as a for a rust free door i don't believe it i wish i had one. Any progress is progress that the way i see it Paul

Give Keith a ring at Balby motor spares in Doncaster he has several Landcrabs in his yard for breaking. He will post parts out. Ring 01302 858805 or try Ray House who has new body panels for our cars his number is 07891888685. You are aware that a front O/side arch can be used for the rear n/side & same for the front n/side can be used for the rear O/side. Thanks for that, i will phone Keith this week. I know about Ray but he his miles away and too bloody expensive. I got 2 old front wings of Tony Woods to do what you are saying, but the profiles are slightly different and needs modifying. I think i need to replace the whole of the rear arch and lower parts, would be easier with the panels, also the inner arch is poor but i know the new bits are pricey. I may give Tony a bell to see if he can help. Paul

Hi Chris I hope the photos help, its always good to see things before you embark on projects. Just a question does anybody know of a trustworthy company to do my cylinder head in the north west, it needs the unleaded treatment. At the risk of starting the age old debate of should you or should you not get hardened seats. I need it doing as it looks like the valves have started to recede into the seats already. Paul That looks like a lot of progress to me! Thanks Paul for the detailed photos regards David Any progress is good progress, Paul! Chris.

Maybe we need to think about setting up a sub section to keep the info in one easily found location? Indianajones servo bracket, your jacking points etc. Really helpful photos; hopefully the other side will be easier. Regards David Hi Chris Never thought of that i may knock something together for future and a method statement. Paul Yes i agree it would be useful As i also have the dash board modifications i did when i was running the car The other side will be easier as i have purchase a full new membrane so i can chop that up easier Paul

Good, very good. I do like the jacking point construct. If you've kept the templates, you could be a popular man! That's the sort of panel people will need to construct in the future. Chris. Hi Chris Never thought of that i may knock something together for future and a method statement. Paul
