Look what that TonyMkIII's made me do..... New door removal technique worked a treat. No.4 Philips impact bit, 12" extension and windy gun. Removal time - 3 minutes. More later. C

Well done. Best tool I bought was impact driver. Can’t get those doors off without. Got a deep socket for the swivels. God how easy. in the old days I ended up using Stilsons.

Stilsons? It'll be a Mole Grip confession next. Most of the way there with this door. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Inner flanges cut away and replaced. Round patch welded home. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Back end done, bottom edge flipped and flattened. I'll sort out the big one tomorrow. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Hadn't thought of this - folder on the front and put the guillotine on the other way round allowing both to be used for the job. Works very well. Chris.

Cracking job. Re the Mole grips, of course. There’s always the lump hammer and cold chisel. Skint then, whatever came to hand. Socket set I could afford couldn’t take too much welly. Tony S

Cheers Tony. This mornings' efforts. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Tacked home. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Some considerable time later. Despite doing this dot-by-dot, cooling as I went, there is quite a dip above the repair panel. Time to break out the filler. See you Tuesday... C.

Looking good. one of my door skins has always had a lot of flex. Ended up with reinforcing strip inside the skin to stop it. Tony S

quite a dip above the repair panel. Straight as a dog's back leg more like. Look at this. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr It's flat with a nice line to it now and none of that is particularly thick. Meh. VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr New filler used for the first time. Very easy to work with. Approved. Chris.

So, I'll just leave these here then.... VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr VOF707J by Penguin 45, on Flickr Tony - I think scrubbing the vinyl on a hard surface is what made the difference. I've had several goes at the seats in this one with poor results. Chris.
