Hi David
1200 grit flatten, mop with Feracla, getting soaked in the process, then polish

Had her serviced and checked over 4 weeks ago but I couldn’t settle so she passed yet another MOT on Thursday. There is a faint rattle from near side bottom ball joint. Now I do have new ones from Tony but damned if I can find them. Showed fitter pictures of ones available on internet and he says they do not match what is on. Are there variations in what is avail for the Mk 11? Following Chris’ success with electronic ignition I asked what he thought only to be told to leave well alone as Mo is the smoothest running points car he knows. Hm. I can still do some things right then. Double thickness points box in lieu of traditional fag packet! Doing well as Merc also passed yesterday

Good news indeed. There's always a way - never say "Can't".
Why not get one of Tony's repair kits for the ball joint? Then you can strip the existing one and re-use it. As far as I can tell, there was only one ball joint used throughout the production run - 8G 4242 "Ball pin kit".
Chris.

Thanks Chris. That is the set I have. Will have to organise a search trip into my storage area. Her Ladyship will have to come and help as the lights in there are on a 2 minute timer so someone is needed to stand/move around in the right place to keep them on otherwise it is torch in one hand and walking stick in the other so sorting through boxes isn’t easy

Coil and spare failed on her on Wednesday so she came hoe on the back of a truck. Only the second time in 14 years that has happened New coils arrived today so I went to fit one and found this
No way an I even attempt a repair and I have no contact with anyone nearby who can Looks like it may be the end of the road for my landcrab ownership

Hopefully someone here can help you find a mechanic able to sort out the problem. What a shame, you are going to need to get it fixed whether you decide to keep or sell the car, unfortunate timing indeed.
So sorry to see this. That reminds me I need to chase up the remanufacture of the hydrolastic units to see what progress has been made.

David -
Don''t even know which bit has gone Hopefully just a pipe. Being in the wheelchair I can see b..... all. Sadly none of my friends are mechanically minded so wouldn't have a clue. I will find somewhere and have the car trailered away to them

Garage blizted - and I mean BLITZED - three wheelie bins worth and a car full of scrap metal, so once she's in I'll be able to find her.
Thanks Snoopy.

It must be unusual to actually see the floor!
Hope Mo doesn't cause too much mess
