Here are some apparently 'anorak' questions 1. If I remember correctly Austin and Morris cars 1800 and 2200 use the same front bumper. This part is not the same as the front bumper used by Wolseleys 18/85 and Six and 3-litre. Is this correct? What are the differences? 2. Do all of the above mentioned models share the same front valance (behind and below the front bumper)? If not, what are the differences? Many thanks in anticipation.

Does anyone have a front grille for a Morris 1800 mk 1 going spare? Doesn't need to be perfect. Condition from saveable to (very) good. No hurry.

For another project - let's call it a 'landcrablet' - I'm looking for a complete and working power-unit i.e. 4-cylinder A-series 1275cc engine with AP 4-speed automatic gearbox. This should be from an ADO16 variant (Austin/Morris/Wolseley/Riley/VandenPlas 1300) therefore not an A-plus engine and not a later AP gearbox with the Park position. Ideally from a reasonably 'recently' used (or at least running) car which is too rusty and / or damaged to repair. Or perhaps someone is converting to manual or has one in a Mini or... If you have something like this or can suggest someone who might have, send me a PM Many thanks.

Required to repair crash damage: - front panel [the pressed-metal panel(s) above bumper / below bonnet / between wings. Lower valance (under the bumper) not required]
- grille (with lamp)
- bonnet
Either 18/85 or Six. Bonnet and grille should be in good used condition. Repairable rust damage to pressed-metal panel(s) is OK. Condition of paint not important (but Damask Red would be convenient). Chrome strips etc. would be handy. The ideal donor would be a non-restorable car. There's no tearing hurry but sometime this 'summer' would be nice. To be collected by arrangement in UK (or NL, Belgium etc.).

A veritable hen's tooth: a new rear lamp-unit with pointy-end and indicator-lens in red ! eBay-objectnummer: 121867756395L726 or L727And the same seller also offers: - a pointy indicator-lens in amber, eBay-objectnummer: 121867762220
- a non-pointy L726 indicator-lens in amber (which will fit the 'ute'?), eBay-objectnummer: 121867761376
Was the pointy/non-pointy fitment related to year-of-production or to market?
