Hi, For my 18/85S manual I got the front pipe off Tony. For the rest of the system I went to a local exhaust specialist and had a stainless steel one made up. I chose only 1 box (as in the Mk1) so that I could eliminate the 'side hanging' rear box. The idea being that I remove the rotary stress on the system, especially if a mount breaks. The specialist exhaust can be tuned to how you want it to sound. Lastly, the system was also a lot cheaper than original.

Snoopy and I went and we both agree it is definitely one for the calendar. The variety of vehicles was good. From buses to hot-rods inc a WWII GMC 6 Wheeler. Lots of Americana was there as well, standard and not.
The show was one a green bit of the airfield. Stores were sparse but will probably increase as the show gets more popular. Had a small fair, cake stall and burger van. There were 2 portaloos that were surprisingly clean.
Apart from the sunburn, it was a very good day.
Sorry we have no photos we were too busy admiring the tin wear.
Did I mention the helicopter flights.

The flange with the thread ripped out of three bobbins. The other one sheared. Disappointing. Chris. Why try to improve things; leave well alone. . The engineers knew what they were doing when they designed it Glad its sorted.

What do you need to know? I always used one on the standard crabs to reduce the torsional stress on the large engine mounting. It also limits how far the engine can drop if that mounting fails. David Basically where do they attach to the front end and are they readily available? My 'S' can without one and I believe BMC would not have gone to the exspence of designing and fitting if it was not needed.

You got us. Sorting 710 leak first. Would have got engine back in except someone did a clutch change in the past and used my gasket set. Ordering new today. I will start a new thread in the technical board for the FI but also give general updates here for completeness. A taster:- The kit, not as it arrived but unpacked.

And Mark complaining that "his" engine bay was dusty. I suspect that he hasn't been paying attention for the last couple of weeks. HIS engine bay, bleedin cheek.
