Does anyone know anything about the upper front engine tie bar shown in the parts catalogue?

What do you need to know? I always used one on the standard crabs to reduce the torsional stress on the large engine mounting. It also limits how far the engine can drop if that mounting fails.

David Basically where do they attach to the front end and are they readily available? My 'S' can without one and I believe BMC would not have gone to the exspence of designing and fitting if it was not needed.

Any help? Looks like the plate on the engine is extended forward, then an enclosing bracket has been added at both ends. Wasn't this also called a "Paul Cope" mounting? I think Tony Wood had something similar made before the current one using the Land Rover mountings. Chris.
