In about 1995, a friend of mine and I rescued an Austin 1800, found with several other cars north of Russell, Kansas. We bought the car and hauled it back to Great Bend, Kansas, where my friend Frank Mckinney owns many BMC front-wheel-drive cars and other 50s, 60s and 70s sedans. The car has been in indoor storage ever since. We never got it started, but often think about bringing it back to life. Scott Williams Topeka, KS Attachments:

Hi Scott, I'm originally from Kansas. They have some great yards of fine old cars there ! I'm in California now working on a twin to your car - a 1967 1800 the 18/85 Wolseley model that I found in the desert with all soft goods baked very well. If you find any parts in the country, or on the continent please pass along the info. I'm looking for a back glass right now. Got it to start and run and just went through the carburettor and brakes. New tires and UGLY but loved Tim

I wonder how they got there, I didn't think any were exported officially to the USA.
