Great news for anyone in the UK wanting to know about a car they've just seen advertised. By following the link to mot-history.net/ you can see what advisories or fail comments were put on the last MOT test and previous ones too. I checked mine and it showed them all for the last ten years. This will help validate some of the comments you see on eBay and similar about immaculate cars with no expense spared or whatever people put in them. I know the MOT test isn't any sort of guarantee to the condition of a car but this will at least show you how a car has been over the recent years, the level of care it has received at test time and the advisories will prompt you to look at things on the car and to raise questions with the seller. Happy hunting Nick

Only just clocked this, sorry. Really useful link - put in one of my own registrations and it all came back to me!

Thanks Nick. I checked my old car and it's good to see is has flown through the MOTs with hardly a comment.
