Yup that would have been a hard lesson for sure.
Only car I have bought unseen was the Rover 623, but only because it was $1800 NZD, anything over $2500ish and I'd want to see it in person beforehand, or at the very least, get someone to inspect it on my behalf.

Fortunately, Colin forfeited a deposit, not the full purchase cost. Needless to say, he decided not to buy a 'Crab and has acquired a beautiful Wolseley 6/110 instead.
