Hi all
Needed to replace the surround rubbers on the rear 1/4 windows on my 67 Crab. The inserts to take the metal hinges from the window frame are rubber and these fit into the body. Obtained new rubber inserts from Tony of L.O.C.I - he really is a star. Went to fit and wrote off 2 over the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone experience of fitting these inserts or is it a dark art??
any help gratefully accepted
best wishes Mike

Sounds odd. The originals are very definitely NLA - Tony supplies Metro ones, I think. I haven't used them myself (Going to have to - I need 8!). The old ones, whilst badly distorted, I fitted onto the tongue, applied a goodly coating of red rubber grease and simply wiggled until they dropped home. The only reason I did it that way round was that putting the rubber in the aperture first resulted in one dropping down the inside of the wing and I had an awful job getting it back out again!.
Not much help I know, but that was my experience.
Chris.
