Welcome Michael, if you're after advice, you've come to the right place. In terms of spares, are you a member of the Landcrab Owners Club International? (LOCI) they have a great spares department. As with all of our new members, we've keen to see some photos of the 'crab in question! -Andrew

Hi Michael. There's an offside sill on eBay right now. It's in Derbyshire and currently stands at £20. I was going to bid on it for stock - if you want it, I won't. HERE. Cover sill - if you want the whole assembly you will have to go to Ray House, who will charge you lots and you have to trot over to Lincolnshire and collect as he won't ship. 07891888685. I repaired my Austin with a pair of arch sections from the Maxi Owners Club. £15 a side plus shipping. The front and rear sections are usable, but the overall arch section is too short. If the top's gone, you'll have to make it. Interior light from memory is the same as the Mini. Few variants over the years, one of them does it. As Indy says, lets see some pics (especially of the bad bits) and we can probably give you more of a steer. Also, find some time and have a read through the Resto section - you will be amazed at just where these cars can rust. Enjoy, Chris.

Correct regarding the interior light being the same as a mini, I used one (the whole arrangement) as a replacement for mine.

Hello Michael and welcome to the forum. According to the DVLA data for the end of 2014 there were six Morris 2200s taxed and on the road, still a very rare beast. Having said that there are a few in Denmark which turn up from time to time. I have a pair of outer sills but they are nowhere near as good as the one on eBay and would require fettling to get rid of surface rust before they could be used. If you don't win one in the auction then you could have these, depending on whereabouts you are.

Hi Nick
Thanks that is very interesting I did not realise when I brought it that I was getting such a special car (by the way I have called it Bertie after Burlington Bertie in the song) lol I am near Leeds West Yorkshire. Bertie has not been on the road since 1991 and I brought him from a salvage yard. The reason was that I am having to stop work due to ill health and cannot afford to run my Rover 75 estate. I have also got a Rover P6 which has been an ongoing project I was originally thinking of getting and 1300 auto by my mate that is helping (or should I say doing the work lol) pointed out that I may have difficulty getting in and out of a 1300 and a land crab auto may suit me better and as I am not using it every day for work will work out cheaper for me to run.
The Rover p6 will have to go as well but Bertie will offer all I need I also have a portafold classic caravan which I take to car shows with me so I will be needing a tow bar at some point if anyone can help with one for sale please
Thanks again Nick
Kind Regards
Michael

I'm up the road from you in LS19 - or "LBA" as it's better known these days. We'll have to meet up for a chat. Or, come up to York last Tuesday evening of the month and meet some of the LOCI crowd.
Chris.

Hi Chris
I am in Methley near Rothwell it would be interesting to meet some time and see your car my Morris is in Wakefield at my mates workshop and yard having the required work done but have no time table as yet as he is having to work it around his own jobs and work. Unfortunately I am not really driving at the moment but you are welcome to come over if you would like and I will try and arrange to get over to York when I can arrange it.
Kind Regards
Michael

Easiest way is to use a hosting site - I use Photobucket, but there are others. You can use the attachment system (top right, Reply box), but we have limited storage, so we try not to use it.
Photobucket is just a matter of copying and pasting a link to put the pic on the post - even I can do it!
Chris.
