Some interesting cars passed this way last week on their way from Singapore to Mandalay. They had a rest and repair day at the Shangri-La Hotel and the following morning I captured these photos as they left. The oldest car was a 1907 Itala that has already completed the journey from Peking to Paris several times. No protection from the scorching sun, rain or sandstorms and outside gear change and no front brakes requires skilful driving especially in the mountains.

Crab owners may be interested to ses the Australian Leyland P76 driven by an octogenarian who can and does show the younger drivers a thing or two. He is currently lying 2nd in class just behind a Porsche!
Now Andrew A let's see you next year! There was one of the original 68 London Sydney Rally crabs competing in Africa in 2014.
