Those of you running cars with electric fuel pumps may wish to consider fitting an inertia switch in line with the pump electric power feed. In the event of an accident that dislodges a fuel pipe the pump will continue to discharge fuel all over the hot engine. Nasty! All modern cars use these switches so they are widely available new or second hand. Are you aware that Moss and maybe others carry a range of thermostats that remain open if they fail avoiding potentially catastrophic overheating? Look like a good investment next time you change the stat. Moss also carry an electric fuel pump that doesn't have a diaphragm that may be damaged by modern fuels. It is quite a lot cheaper than the genuine SU and has been designed to fit the MGB delivering 3 psi and the appropriate volume. Videos covering all of the above can be found on Youtube, Moss MotorsDavid
