I bought my car from a chap called Smith. He lived down in Rodley, which is only about 15 minutes away from here. I remember him telling me that he'd bought a rotten Austin and scrapped it in order to help him repair what is now my Wolseley.
This made a great deal of sense, as the car was fitted with a MkIII Austin interior, the later engine, rod gear change and multifarious other bits and pieces. What he didn'y use on the car he sold as part of the deal.
As we were moving all the car stuff over into the new garage, I noticed that the spare screen still had a tax disc holder on it, complete with old tax discs.
A quick check on the DVLA site revealed:
