www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motoring/car-year-1964-picture-specialfollow this link to have a look at the winners for each year from 1964 to date. The Austin 1800 won in 1965 and the Morris version chosen for this exhibition has an interesting paint scheme. I wonder if the owner is a member of LOCI. If you couldn't have an 1800 which of these 50 cars would you most want to own and which one would you least want - just a bit of fun Nick

I think they have it wrong. I'm sure I've read the Landcrab was "Car of the Century" David www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motoring/car-year-1964-picture-specialfollow this link to have a look at the winners for each year from 1964 to date. If I had to pick one other than the 1800, I'd pick the SD1 -Andrew

I always liked the NSU Ro 80 which I guess could take a Mazda RX engine if none of the original engines are available. As far as the least desirable for me I guess the Talbot Horizon has little appeal now but I recall it wasn't that bad at the time. David

Citroen GS for me - I have owned one and they are just bonkers fun. I'd have another in a flash.

I like Italian cars so Fiat 124 for me. I'd give the Renault 9 a miss, forget they ever existed to be honest.
