for the near future in any rate.
I've had a heart attack during the last week and whilst I am now home again and recuperating, it will be in everyone's interest if David keeps the place running. So, all queries and problems to David for the moment.
I will basically be fine, but I'm currently signed off for at least 4 weeks. I'm afraid the Austin restoration is similarly stopped for the moment. Julia has confiscated and hidden the garage keys - probably quite rightly. That said, I'm fit for virtually nothing at the moment. I need to build up some stamina over the next few weeks according to my rehabilitation schedule, stop smoking and remember to take 11 tablets everyday.
I'll be about and try and contribute a bit when I can, in the meantime my thanks to David for keeping everything working.
Chris.

Chris, Very sorry to learn of this. Sincere best wishes for the next few weeks while you recuperate; and I'm sure we will all agree that Landcrabs and this forum can take a back seat for a while for you. May you receive the best possible care from the Health Service.
Nick

Very sorry to hear your grim news. Sincerely hope you have complete and full recovery. Hopefully my attempts over the coming days to master the dreaded photobucket will cheer you up and not add stress to your current situation! Wishing you all the best. Andrew

Hi Chris, Sorry to hear this, hopefully you'll make a speedy recovery Leave the 'crabs in the garage, they're not going anywhere! Couldn't hurt to give up the fags, think of all the money you'd save for the cars. All the best! -Andrew

Hi Chris!
Sorry to hear this. I hope you are well and recover soon. Rest and relax and do as the doctor says:-) The crabs will wait for you, and so will we!
I quit smoking in April, after 20 years. OK, I smoke at parties but try to keep them away otherwise... Can't be all perfect;-) Anyway, I've saved around 20 000 Norwegian kroner (ca GBP 2000) since April. Not that I see the money, but at least I've not used it on cigarettes..
I'm sure you can do it too! Good luck!
All the best to you Chris!
Tommy!

Cheers chaps. I'm a bit more with it now, although I don't seem to have a lot of stamina at the moment. Recovery programme says that I should now be doing lightish exercise in short bursts. I am doing this a couple of times a day, which seems to need to be followed by a bit of a doze.
Haven't touched a cigarette since this happened, BTW. Lesson learnt and heeded.
Chris.

Good to see you are recovering. Congratulations on giving up the cigs, I think that was one of the hardest things I have ever done. David Cheers chaps. I can only imagine how hard it must be to give up the smokes (I went without alcohol for a month and that was tough!).
