Hi everyone, I am the proud owner of 2 1800's a 1970 Mk2 auto saloon, mist green with green interior in excellent condition, Currently off road at moment waiting on auto box rebuild. And a 1968 Mk2 ute in very good condition, was originally an auto but know converted to a manual, fitted with Kimberely gear cables. Its running twin Su's and Hans Pederson extractors and air cleaners, electronic ignition, Rover SD1 wheels, and Springalex steering wheel. 1800 Utes ride harsher than saloons, torsion bars fitted to rear end harden the ride. Only 2341 Utes produced mine being the first Mk2 auto built. I'm very lucky to have this car. Looking forward to picking your brains on many a subject (except cricket) the biggest problem I think we all face is parts, Regards Simmo.

Welcome mate! third request for photos from me.
Yep parts can be a problem, but from what I can see from the LOCI, if a part can't be found, they'll make them or find a suitable replacement.

They look great! I would really like a ute, but I guess the postage from Australia to Norway would be steep:-)
I believe Elton John once had a tram(!)sent from Australia or somewhere, at a price:-) I guess he could afford it though.
Good luck with the auto rebuild!
Regards, Tommy

Tommy, Had a huge stroke of luck, have located a NOS Austin Princess Automatic gearbox. With some minor modifications can be fitted to my 1800 saloon. Regards Simmo.

Nice one. Can't be many to choose from down your end.
Can I suggest that you start a thread off in the Cars, Restorations and Rebuilds forum? We know who you are now!
Chris.
