I came across this video on YouTube. hereAfter wiping the tears from your eyes consider why the first 1800 bent in two going from one of the strongest shells to almost nothing. It does make you think about whether it is good enough to simply patch the sills especially just the outer one. I am guessing that this is the true cause of what you see but think I am probably correct. Quite scary as well as a sad video. David

Now we all know how a proper basket case looks when being lifted....
Regarding the sills, I've made sure in all repairs, that the connection between outer skin and strengthener on the inside is kept intact or re-instated. The white car seemed to have no sills or floor of any meaning ful amount left.

To be fair those cars look like they had been there for the last 20+ years, so not too surprising they broke up so badly!
