The last 1970 Maxi 1750 left driving on UK roads. 1971MY, rod box, 55,000 miles Colour is 'Limeflower' with 'Navy' interior There is one other survivor listed, but it is not taxed for road use.

Welcome. I didn't think the 1750 was introduced till a year or so later. Odd colour combination. I was never that keen on Limeflower, but I have recently "warmed" to it.

That is lovely! Welcome to the forum, and I look forward to hearing more about your Maxi. Limeflower is a very underrated colour in my opinion. LPU = local reg, supplied new by SMAC's in Southend by any chance?

Thanks Chassis: AH5SCS757M First registered 10/11/1970 Purchased new from Bannisters Garage, Chelmsford, Essex The first owner understood it to be the first 'rod-box' Maxi in Essex. He could remember the car in the showroom surrounded by the 'cable-change' models, but parked facing against a door. Newspaper and magazine articles from Autumn 1970 do state the facelift cars as '1971 Model Year' even though they were avaiable.

Lovely! I do miss our 1750, although it was a 1979 model in metalic green. If ever I get the space, the Maxi would certainly be on my short-list.

Lovely colour and lovely car. Such an underrated classic, especially the early maxis.
