This is a good way to clean out the evil mess left in the tank. Boil for a few hours after adding two Kg of caustic soda.Be sure to wear PPE.  |

The tank was filled with water and caustic. During the boiling operation the tank was sheielded from the gas bottle by pieces of stone bench top.Obviously a longer hose would be prefered.
