Hi everyone. I am now living in Thailand and have time on my hands and looking for a Landcrab to drive and keep me busy.
Over the years in England I have owned 6 Landcrabs, a MK1 Austin, 18/85 manual and auto, 1 x Mk2 Austin, 1x Mk2 Morris and 1 x Mk3 ex Royal Navy Austin. Having driven Landcrabs for over 400,000 miles and done my own repairs with the exception of welding, I have gained a fair bit of experience of what can and does go wrong, although to be fair with the exception of the 18/85s they were fairly reliable.
I have located a Mk1 Austin here in Thailand, but it is expensive and in very poor mechanical condition having suffered years of fitting non standard parts. I am aware of one other which is apparently in good condition other but so far cannot track it down. If anyone has any idea (there was also a Team Thailand 1800 rally car but not sure if that is here), I would be grateful as my alternative is to import from Oz or the UK which isn't easy this end as well as being expensive with tax and duties of 200% or more based on the value as assessed locally.
I recently (this month) rejoined the LOCI.
Good luck with this forum
regards
David

Thanks Keef, I'll contact the club and see whether they will put an ad in the "wanted" section of the magazine / website.
