Sorry another question! ;D
How does one mount an 1800 engine onto an engine stand?
Seeing of course one can't mount it like a RWD engine via the transmission mounts.
I'm thinking one would need to make a steel frame that allows one to attach the engine mounts (the rear and front one) to it and that to the stand.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Indy. Not sure if you can! All that work last winter was done on the floor (Nice clean old sheets down) or on an aluminium trestle with plywood boards down. Mind you, I did have an engine crane to help maneuver the brute about - it's seriously heavy. I suppose it must be possible - there's the two lugs for the engine steady and you must be able to pick up a couple of fixings where the adaptor plate bolts on. I do like what THIS FELLA's done. Nice bit of improvisation. Chris.

Cheers Chris.
I'm sure I'll sort something out. It'd be handy to have it on a stand, but worst case I do it on my (future) bench top.
What I'll do at this stage is grab the engine and store it at the folks place until I have the space to do it.
