Time for another quiz The pictures show a "special tool" I've made for an 1800. For what job is this handy? The tool is made from an old barn door hinge and an iron from a garage door, as well as some nuts and screws... (PS the tool is not pulled together in the pics. Should be a couple more screws there... No, I don't know how to weld:-)) Good luck! Tommy

It's used to unscrew and tighten a circular shaped nut, which one? There is an oil seal beneath the nut. If seal is broken, oil will drip out of a hole under the power unit.. Getting to this nut is a big job..

The valve timing is fine, it seems! It still runs beautifully and pulls very well. It seems the distributor swap and static timing made a difference. Filled it up the other day, and the consumption was 0.87 litres/ 10 km. With a lot of city driving too. I've never managed to get it below 1.1 before. Well, the quiz.. It seems I have to reveal the answer ;D The tool is for the clutch shaft nut:-) Tommy
