Following on from the 1964 Motor Magazine article, I thought it may interest you to see a sample of adverts for the 1800 and its components on its introduction.
In many ways I think these reflect the changes in our British society from being a nation proud of what we produced and our engineering skills to it becoming trendy to not understand how anything works and making very little. (Perhaps I'm being cynical?) Certainly a 2012 car magazine looks very different.
