I just went to see the "Iron lady" movie. I enjoyed it, but imo there was a bit too much focus on her later years as old and drabbed by Alzheimers. All in all, a good movie though. And Meryl Streep is marvellous.
Anyway, the movie included a nice scene with a Wolseley 18/85 S! Maggie is teaching her daughter to drive! Cool! A nice clip, good view of the car both inside and out.
Not sure if Thatcher drove one for real, but who knows? If so,I guess she got it before the worst periods of strikes at BL:-)
There is also a quick shot of what I believe is a dark blue 1800 early in the movie. Outside the Parliament I think. There are piles of rubbish in the streets, due to strikes.
Regards, Tommy.
