Some pics and dimensions for Keef. General view. To the right. To the left. And some across the bottom. Key dimensions: Depth (corners) 40mm Depth (centre) 50mm Height 100mm Distance (edge to edge) between the big holes 250mm Bottom flange 22mm Bottom flange (full depth underneath) 65-70mm Flange is double skinned with three breather slots. One in the centre and one above each tie-rod mounting plate. There are two reinforcing plates on the crossmember where two of the three tie-rod mounting plates are bolted through. Hope that is of some use. Chris.

That looks pretty bad... When my father restored the bodywork of our 1800 S many years ago, we found the crossmember solid on the engine-bay side, but quite rusty behind the front valance. The valance was removed anyway, as it was rusted through all along the seam under the bumper panel. This is when we found the problem with the crossmember.
Regards,
Alexander

Yep, I'd be better off with a new panel, but two or three have "slipped through my fingers". I can understand people can't really be bothered with postage and packing, but ..........

Hey, I found this forum while looking for info on my Landcrab, I'm from the USA and there aren't many here. Mine is a '69 Austin Mk II. In the past it was seriously damaged in the front end, it looks like it was run head on dead center into a tree or something solid. We've gotten through the sheet metal and are now down to the crossmember. It's seriously damaged and I think it has spread the frame rails apart a little. I'm looking for dimensions of the crossmember with center to center measurements for the suspension mounting. Can anyone help or direct me to a source of the information? Thanks Charly
