Someone's been spotted while out and about near Leeds. AutoshiteNick Does anyone else worry that there are people out there happy to take photographs while driving.

That's us all stopped at the Spen Lane traffic lights. There's always a queue, so I suppose he was safe enough. I suspect that that picture is actually a couple of months old - not been round taht way for a while. Still, nice to be noticed. Chris.

Not a million miles from me, never noticed them before even though I pass there every now and again.

Good spotting, Chas.
SOF is a LOCI Masterclass car - see the pics from the 2014 50th Anniversary National Rally thread.
Blue one rings a bell, but not got it yet.
Chris.

Hi Chris, Blimey i can't believe it's the same car !! as far as i know that owner keeps it on his drive all year round what a credit to him to keep it in that condition And wow there are some beautiful Crabs at that show and i see Michaels UTE :-) i really do like the Rostyle wheels on the Crabs were they common to any other car ie interchangeable??

The PCD on the wheels is shared with Rover - P5s,6, and SD1s I think. 'Crab ones were painted - the Rover ones are chromed. One chap turned up at a show a few years back with 15" pepperpots from an SD1. He was gently mocked as they looked ridiculous. There's a 'Crab on wires that pops up from time to time, which looks a bit odd, but it grows on you.
LOCI is quite a practical club. They don't mind the condition of any car, so long as it's on the road. Case in point was my Red Dog, which spent last summer running around in various shades of primer and was at least a talking point. Several people asked why I hadn't found a driver for Eugenie as well!
Chris.

Hi Chris, If they are shared with a P5/6 which i doubt but i might be wrong??? as they seem more dished on the Rovers and the Rover P5/6/Sd1 and weren't the pepper pots fitted to Jags Capri's /Fords?? also i think my car will fit in quite well as it has quite a bit of patena in mean rust ;-)

Hello, Silversleeves race team member Scott spotted this car while camping on Vancouver island Canada this summer. The odds of this happening are so remote He had to send it with himself in the photo. Attachments:

Those living outside the UK probably won't be able to access this but he BBC tribute to Peter Sallis, includes a clip from Last of the Summer Wine which features an end of life moment for a landcrab. I think it could be a 2200 but you see the front of the car so briefly that it is hard to tell. The car is right at the end of this clip. Nick www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-40165443

No problem viewing it! Peter Sallis is a sad loss. The crab appears to have 2200 grill but 1800 headlamp surrounds and body colour? I don't recall seeing that episode.

I had a look about, and appear have found it...
Uncle of the Bride Last of the Summer Wine (series 9) Episode aired 1 January 1986 (New Year Special)
(part 1) (part 2)
It does sound like the six cylinder to me. The clearer clip shows the black headlamp surround paint too. Morris or Austin though?
I also saw this on a fan forum for Summer Wine
