Hello from Tasmania.
For my Mk1 Auto I am desperately seeking the 2 steel sealing rings which sit on the output shaft adjacent to the Governor, and which basically seal the line pressure to the Governor.
The outer housing (under the radiator) where the speedo drive exits, slides over these rings and the oil is fed through this housing to the output shaft.
These rings look very much like engine piston rings albeit very small, eg, in metric, approx 25.5 OD; 23.0 mm ID; and approx 2.5 mm (exactly .107") wide.
Their size appears to be bespoke/unique to the fwd 1800 BW35 auto, as the output shaft on the rear wh drive cars with BW35 is larger diameter.
Am hoping some one can suggest a Supplier who sells such sealing rings, even in PTFE would suffice (I think!).
