Hi all, is there an easy way to remove the radiator from an Austin 1800 MK2, is it always necessary to remove the fan? Many thanks

Eyup K.
I don't think I've ever removed the fan.
1/ Remove hoses. 2/ Release stabiliser bracket from thermostat housing. 3/ Remove rubber strip (If still present). 4/ Release retaining screws (front and rear) from top radiator cowl and lift away. 5/ Undo the two bolts at the bottom of the radiator.
You should then be able to wiggle the bare radiator out.
Chris.

Chris, you're braver than me. I always opted for removing the fan blades first taking care not to scrape the back of my hands. I did however take out the lump with the radiator (and fan) in place but removed them for reinstalation. David Eyup K.
