I wasn't sure which forum to post this in. If this is wrong let me know. I have recently acquired a vintage (1964) trailer (caravan) that I'd like to tow with the crab. It's only about 450kg. I'm located in western Canada so not a ton of local resources. I was hoping to find either or both of: - sources to purchase new/used towbars
- photos/ideas from someone who has one so I could design and fabricate my own. Particularly good to know would be places to use (or avoid) for mounting locations.
Many thanks in advance,
Martin

There is a towbar on a donor wreck Mk1 which I will be removing in next few weeks so can send you some dimensions. You could have the towbar free, but Tasmania/Australia is a bit far away from you! When I took a quick look a few weeks ago I think the mounting points take off from the rear bumper on both sides. Looks like longer bolts are used to retain the bumper and the bar, that's all.
