I've had my head under its bonnet. It's stunning.

I saw the work in progress a couple of summers back and there was some fantastic stuff taking place.

I wonder if he was able to fit air cleaners and close the bonnet in the end? David I saw the work in progress a couple of summers back and there was some fantastic stuff taking place. C.

David, It didn't have the air cleaners x3, when I saw it. Not sure if K&N's might cut it.

From the Youtube video it looked as though there wasn't much clearance for the air cleaners.
When the Mini was introduced, one reason given for the carb not being at the front of the car was to prevent it icing up. (I think it could also have been difficult to route the exhaust).

It's a great read, even better to see the Austin??Morris?? In the flesh. Andy is a really nice guy of the old school but well versed in modern technology too. I'm glad the article mentions that he makes fuel tanks. I had one made in the summer and you could probably jack up the car against it.
I feel sure that if Andy's creation was available back in the day, off the BMC production line, it would have sold in such numbers they would have been able to bail out the government rather than the other way around.

It may not follow the Golden Ratio but it's beautiful in its owm way, even more so in 2023 with so many bland looking cars.

David Edit: I see from the article that Andy has addressed the icing issue.
