It's a very long shot I know, but if anyone out there has a MK1 servo bottom bracket, maybe from a scrapper, or a servo conversion, I would be very interested.
I've decided to go back to a Girling unit. Unfortunately, the person who fitted a Lockheed look-alike, butchered the original to the point of no return, rendering it useless.
Tony sent me some nice brackets from another owner, but alas, the bottom one, fitted low down on the bulkhead, was from a later model. Mine is an early Morris of 1966 vintage, so is a MK1. I can't even redesign that one due to its size, shape and hole centres being wrong for my car.
After much head scratching Tony informed me there are 4 different types, MK1 MK2 Mk3 And yet another for the six cylinder cars. The mind boggles as to why 4 types.
Tony does have a lead on where there may be one but access to the vehicle is difficult so it might be some time before it lands on me, if and when.
The bracket would have to be from a right hand drive car, as the ones for left hand drive are a totally different animal.
I'm rather snookered at the moment so any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.
Regards to all
Jeff

24G 3753 as far as I can work out. No sign of one though. Ask Tony to contact Paddy in NI. He'll almost certainly have one squirrelled away somewhere.

Thanks for the info Chris. Looking at my 1964 parts manual 11H 1223 is the first type, which, according to Tony's cross referenced is the one I'm after.
Patrick is on the case but has yet to recover it from its resting place.
It's great to have such a resource of Knowledge at hand.
Thanks
Jeff.

Good old Patrick and Tony, Between them, it was with me within days and now painted and fitted. But how do you hold the lower bracket against the bulkhead while you get the 4, 5/16 unf bolts in from inside the car?? I thought. Hmmm, I know!!! A great fat old loudspeaker magnet against the inside. I knew it would come in handy one day. All I gotta do now is remake the brake pipes and bleed, then hope. Its a MK2B servo from Tony..it might work, it might not. If not I'll send it off for a rebuild. I think it was rebuilt in 2016 when Tony had it so we'll see.
