Does anyone have any experience in utilising the more substantial Austin 3 Litre indicator stalk in our 1800's?

Can't say I have any direct experience of this swap. However, mk1 1800, had a floor mounted headlamp dip switch. Some later models used a combined indicator/headlamp flasher/ main and dipped beam/horn all on the one stalk. You'd have to check what's on your existing stalk. Later cars might use the same stalk as the 3ltr. Then there is the question of indicator and main beam warning lights wiring. Not much help I know but there are quite a few considerations, including the steering column set up, diameter etc.
