Good evening all,
I grew up in the Midlands in the 80s and early 90s and the only cars we ever had were 1800’s. I’ve got many a fond memory of my dad tinkering with them and also four of us and a dog crammed in the back towing a caravan!
Anyway, it’s fair to say they hold a special place in my heart so I’ve taken the plunge and bought one! This is as a gift to my parents at Christmas and in the meantime I’m going to get it into a nice drivable order. It’s fair to say it’s not without faults.
She’s a nice blue 1972 Morris 1800 mark 2 I believe. I have plenty of photographs but for some reason on my phone I can’t see how to attach them!
The registration is XCA 878K and it would be amazing if someone knows the car or has had knowledge of her in the past.
I have thousands of questions and literally can’t wait to get started!
All the best

Welcome aboard, Cookie.
Sounds like a fun project, looking forward to hearing (and seeing) more. Ask anything, the only stupid question is the one not asked.
Pics. The site has very limited storage facility, so we do generally recommend linking from a hosting site. Flickr for example, there are plenty of others. As to trying to do it from a phone, I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start!
Chris.

Untitled by Graham Cook, on Flickr Untitled by Graham Cook, on Flickr There you go. You need to select "BBC Code" in Flickr to make them appear. That's the car from up Hexham way isn't it? We spotted it a little while back. It's in the For Sale thread. Seemed a pretty honest advert, so hopefully you're not in for too many surprises. C.

Thanks Chris, that’s right, went to fetch it on Friday. 14 hour round trip as there was a bad accident on the M6 north. But on the positive side I got to see Hadrians wall and the Angel of the north!
Yeah she seems ok. Obviously a lot of body work rot to deal with but engine seems nice.
She’s collapsed on the right hand side since that photo was taken so I’m going to post in another section asking for help! I’ve got a hydralastic pump on the way and I’m going to take it from there
Cheers Cookie
