Am looking to rationalise the fleet slightly. Currently have ancient Landcruiser Colorado one owner from new (us) 300k miles - mainly used for dump runs, transporting dog and helping children move house from time to time. It's getting more of a battle to get it through it's MOT each year - mainly rust issues (perhaps one for Mr P?!). Daily car is Suzuki Swift Sport which is a lovely car but I've had it two years, been offered almost what I paid for it and me not losing money on cars is a first so it might be time to make history and move it on. So I thought get shot of both and get one car instead. I'd like something relatively new, that'd do the dump run and dog duties, would fit two bikes in the back without taking wheels off and isn't too wide. Not bothered if petrol or diesel. Am not bothered about performance or fun or driving dynamics but something extremely frugal would be handy! Budget around £10k if needs be. Am thinking about Fiat Doblo or similar but are there any left field alternatives I might have missed or ones to avoid? Thanks Andrew

I have used Doblo vans for work on occasion and they were rather fun. You could get four washing machines in the back. MrsP's Ulysse was quite cavernous inside, but big overall as well. They're getting old now. She now has an Agila, which for a small car is remarkably large inside when you drop the rear seats.
Here endeth my knowledge of modern vehicles.
Chris.

Yup, suspect you can't go wrong with that, or similar. [yorkshire]Expensive one, that mind.[/yorkshire]
