Until now I have used the originally recommended tyre pressures for my Landcrabs, ie. 28 and 22 psi for the 13" rims and 30/24 for the 14" rims. I have noticed that higher pressures are recommended for modern tyres. Eg. the original recommendations for my MGB is 20 psi front and 24 rear. Longstone recommend 28 and 32 respectively for modern tyres. Any thoughts on what pressures to use for the Landcrabs?

What profile tyres are you using? If you are not getting wear on the edges of the tread the pressure is probably fine. Slightly higher pressures will improve grip but also transmit more shock into the suspension units. Tyres are the standard dimensions: 175/80/13 and 165/80/14 respectively. Wear seems normal. And my concern is, as you write, more stress on the displacers.

Bit late to the party but for what it's worth I used 28 Front 24 Rear for (on 14") for general running about. Cheers Andrew

As a conclusion, I think I will stick to the original recommendations. Peter
