I've got a bit of time on my hands and thought I would try and figure out the reason the rear o/s window winder is so stiff on my 18/85. The question is how do you get the door card off to gain access? YouTube is no help and I haven't come across any hints in the Forum. Can someone advise please?

Depends which door handles etc. Cards are held by screws which fix the pull handles and by the window winders and door operating handles/levers. If you have the pull up locking buttons these unscrew. If you have the later oblong lock operating levers then the escutcheon is in two parts which will need to be parted horizontally. depending on the year, there may be screws holding the bins on the door which requir removal. the remaining fixings will be spring clips which will require levering off. If you show a photo of the door more specific advice will be offered I am sure.

Don't take the winder mechanism out unless you absolutely have to. Pain......

Yes I did read that on the Forum, I just want to get the door card off so I can have a look inside to see why it is so tight, lack of use I guess/

Odd. Normally, if you click on a Flickr image, it takes you to the site and you can blow them up to enormous. I'll see if I can do anything in the morning.
