Has anybody out there found a nifty way to replace the clutch pedal return spring..I replaced both master cylinders the other day and found mine missing. Hmmmm I wonder why? All fitted up and bled the clutch works fine so I got a new spring from Tony Wood.
I'm not exactly small and had to remove the gear stick so I could squeeze down there and take a somewhat upside down peek. I can just about see the holes but cant get a hand that far up behind the dark recesses of the parcel shelf. Also, it's a very strong spring so doubt it can be done with just fingers.

Bless you, missed an opportunity when you fitted the master cylinders. Still might be easier to un bolt the pedestal. If you do have to lay on your back, the drivers seat is only on four screws. Spent many happy hours doing just that! one easy tip though - ‘r’ clips are easier to fit to the clevis pins than fiddling with split pins.

Agree with the "R" clips, definitely. How about dismounting the clutch master to take any load off the pedal? Might be easier.
