In these days of confined to barracks, I’m sure we all are finding all sorts of odds and ends.
Whilst sorting through all the Austin and Matchless bits and bobs i found this light unit. Appears to be 6 volt but bulb is unmarked. 2 pole bulb, one earth one live. Bulb holder adjustable fore and aft, presumably to focus.
Have cleaned up the old paint(painted with a bog brush by the look of it).
So rack your brains and tell me what it is etc...............

Single filament bulb. Would have to change bulb holder to fit modern bulb, we shall see. Things you do when you’re bored. Tony S

Thinking about it, it's not a Lucas lamp as the style of construction is all wrong. Possibly a Raydot? They were about at the time. It's most likely something British assuming it's 40's or 50's. Chris.

Possibly. If it was Lucas would have the legend some where. If all else fails will do for the garage connected to battery!
Start cleaning up the old carbs next. Got a load of old Amal type 19 and a TT7 i think off dads BSA ZB32. No good for the road though- never tick over. Never throw things away that’s the trouble. Couple of AMC cylinder heads to tidy up as well. I wonder where all this stuff comes from?
