Just taken delivery of my 1967 Wolseley 18/85, any idea how I get into the cubby hole, it is locked and the 'key' supplied doesn't do anything. What does the key look like?
Thanks

It's just a very basic furniture lock, a single lever mechanism. I got past mine by using a wide chisel (so that it didn't mark the wood) and levering upwards - the tongue engages in the metal rail under the crash pad. Steady pressure and no real force required. When I remade the door, I omitted the lock altogether and just relied on the spring ball catch.

Thanks Chris, I'll have a play when I get it back from the garage.
