There are a few of these and I wondered if any were still available. Currently I need the one that fits around the drive for the wipers and also the one that fits around the accelerator cable - it jams when you rev the motor from the carb end. Car is going in for checks on 2nd.
Looks like I'm going to get 32mpg average on this tank. The occasional misfire seems to be just me pushing choke in too early.

The wiper grommet is 8D5768 and is available from AH Spares and Jag Spares to name but a couple. The accelerator cable does not (or should not) have a grommet, as it has a snap home plastic fitting to locate the cable outer on the bulkhead. If someone's fudged it with a grommet, you need a new cable with the correct fitting.
Just for information, the complete (and last) parts listing for the ADO17 range can be found in the Documents section of the site. You will be amazed at just how many part numbers turn up with other (more popular) applications.

Thanks Chris, I'm thinking that the plastic fitting you mention looks like a pyramid shape widget? I need a new one of those too, it has decided to break and jams the throttle open if the linkage is worked from the carburettor end, otherwise is OK. |

Just had pseudo mot done - some welding needed (which was supposed to have been done), but also need driveshaft linkage - I assume means that spider thing. Any recommendations for where to get?
Good news - engine is perfect 60/15psi, rattle assumed to be timing chain - gauges were and are under reporting - I can get a new voltage regulator (mk3 landie) - grommet for wiper box ordered.
They complained a bit about lights but electronic device won't work with multi source lights and pattern on wall the same as the incands.

PS. I have front brake pads and fittings for an 's' model kicking around which I was sent by mistake. If anyone needs a set? They're unused - mines not an 's'.
