Hey, does anyone know of what the axle seal into the transmission/diff housing is? Is it used on another application/car? In the USA. these parts are hard to identify and locate. The parts book calls it a 22H383, I can't find a cross reference for it. Thanks.

One of our members 1800heap (Nick) is currently rebuilding a diff. He won't be around for a week or two but may then be able to answer your question. If it is more urgent I suggest you try Tony Wood. 1 1/8" ID. 1 7/8" OD. 7/16" W.
Decent transmission stockist should be able to supply them.
Chris.

Chris is correct, most good seal suppliers will have them on the shelf as our local guy did. I have found so far all the seals I have wanted except one, they have had a matching seal. If unsure take the seal to them and they might measure it for you if you are lucky! The size I believe is quoted as 1.125×1.875×0.375 by seal suppliers which is the decimal version of what Chis said. The part number of the seals I used was TC12046 This is a dual lip seal though so not quite the same as OEM. One side on my car had a dual lip and the other had a single lip. It had slightly different shafts too. One side was damaged at some stage clearly! I found one shaft fouled the outer lip of the new seal! The other side was ok. I had another shaft identical to the ok side, so used that with new dual lip seals. The point is you may not get away with a dual lip seal on your shafts. They are an improvement though if you can get away with it! Both types were available from my suplier but I dont have the number of the single lip type sorry. Nick

Well, I found it. It appears to be a fairly common seal, at least at my bearing supplier, they had 100 of them. Thanks for any help.

Actually the width is 3/8" (0.375") not 7/16 my mistake.
