Hi All, Just bought a Land Crab (1970), needs a bit of restoration of interior but other than that put exhaust and carby's (twins) back on and off I go. Originally a South Australian registered car sold to a Victorian and now back in SA. I also have a few other projects (3 Mini Mokes, 3 Escort Mk2's and a Zephyr Mk3).
Had a Land Crab when I just finished my apprenticeship back in the UK so when this came up ….you all know the rest :-).
Look forward to conversations on the forum and likely some help if I get into trouble with my new acquisition. Cheers Jim

Welcome aboard, Jim. Sounds like an interesting collection of cars - pics very welcome of all of them! Nostalgia does seem to drive classic car ownership. I had my first one back in the 1980's as a young man and it was just a cheap old car. But you get older and hanker... Chris.

Welcome Jim,
I was the one who bid on Keiths 1800 that you won on Ebay,
I purchased Keiths MK 1 Austin 1800.

Hi Chris, Yes mine was just a cheap old car at the time £110 around 1976 I think, but I never forgot how smooth and how quick it was to drive. Unfortunately the selectors gave up and I was to young and inexperienced to fix it so moved it on for an Escort Van. Pic's be put up soon as I get to learn how to do it.
Hi Les, Sorry I knocked you off in the auction but if you got Keith's mark 1 you come out of it ok as I understand it was a nice clean car and running well (or am I thinking of the one he kept?). Noted your mobile and will give you a call for a chat soon.
Hi Paddy, I'm in Hillbank. I'm registered with the SA and UK Zephyr Clubs and a recent member of the Moke Club of SA. I could probably do with joining an Escort Club or a Ford Club but I prefer to have a running and on road model before doing so.
To everybody else, I spent about 2 hours reading bucket loads of threads when I registered and learnt so much about the Land Crab I didn't know before, real eye openers.
Thanks for the welcomes. Cheers Jim
