Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a couple of the pins that go into the door Hinges on my Mk1 sedan please? Are there any parts of other cars that will fit? I was driving home from work yesterday and I heard a "Tinkle... Tinkle.." and found the top one on the drivers side had fallen out.... I checked my other doors and the top one on the passenger side is also a little wobbly... I have just put a bit of thick wire in it for now... sorry I can't work out how to rotate that image...and wow... I didn't realise how dirty it was in there! Any help is greatly appreciated... I am in Melbourne Australia.

Houston, you have a problem....
One of my rear doors is pivoting on a cut down six inch nail, fitted many years ago. BUT - you need to get the bits out before replacing the pin. So, remove the door. The two bits in the hinge on the car can be bashed out with a drift, hammer, beer and violence. The one on the door itself needed an oxy set, extreme heat and a lot of patience as it was absolutely frozen in place.
Apart from that, it was a complete doddle. I'd rather not so it again.
Chris.
