Hi everyone,
Just thought I would register to see what I have got myself into. I had a moment of temporary insanity and purchased two Austin 1800, one utility and one sedan. I wanted a utility and these came as a pair. The ute has been stripped down to the bare body but on wheels, the sedan is complete but rough. I have all the parts to re-assemble the ute including the choice of two engine/gearboxes, one an auto the other manual. The ute is not rusty at all which is really good, the sedan is really just a parts car as it is quite rusty.
I also have a Lotus Elan of about the same year which I have been restoring for the past few years, this should be finished within the next month or two, once I have the Lotus out of the way I will start on the land crab.

Hi Tony, Welcome along, sounds like you have a good collection started already! Best of luck with the resto's, I understand the ute is even pretty rare in Australia? I have a '69 ute (among other 1800's) thats in original standard form so if you need any pic or advice about how it all goes back together feel free to give me a shout! Cheers Rich

Thanks guy's,
I will try and post some pictures soon. The ute was what I was after in the first place so the sedan was bonus, sort of three dimensional workshop manual if you like.

I have beem pre-occupied for a Long time but I am now going to get started on the utility, the Lotus is now done driveable witl plates so I just need to get a cover for it and get stuck in. I have noticed reference to LOCI is this a source of parts?
