Hi Everyone, If my car is parked on a slant so that drivers side is lower then I start to get oil leaking out of the end on the rack.... does anyone know how I would go about fixing this please? Is there is seal available that I can use? also, can I change the seal without taking the whole rack out? Thanks heaps

Hello James, welcome aboard. I am slightly puzzled. The ends of the steering rack are sealed by the rubber boots. These can perish with age. This happened on one of my cars and I used a generic Bailcast boot to replace them. Something like THIS. Chris.

Oh!! so it is the boot itself that stops the oil coming out??? it that is it then I will replace the boot..... I just thought there would be some sort of seal which held the oil in though....??
James.

Is this a PAS rack or a manual?
Thanks Nick

That's a manual rack. Can stick up diagram for PAS rack later if you want.
Chris.
